The Good Food Channel documentary series 'Choccywoccydoodah' series 1

From October 2010 to February 2011 I was involved in making a food documentary series called 'Choccywoccydoohdah' which will go out on the 'good food' channel in the UK (Sky 249, Virgin 260) and the 'Discovery channel' in the USA. The show will be aired in March-April 2011.

I have been involved in the post production of 'When Africa Met China'. A documentary about the economic climate in Zambia; a programme for the BBC on behalf of 'speak-it productions'.
Also to be released this year in the Cinema and on DVD as well as shown throughout the world at various different film festivals.

It will also be shown as part of Brighton film festival at the Old law courts in Brighton.

From January to April 2010 I was production assistant for a new fishing documentary series called 'trawler wars'.
Going out on the discovery 26th Sept (tonight) for 6 weeks.

"The seas around the southern tip of Britain are some of the most unpredictable in the world, and its in these waters that two of Britain's fishing fleets are locked in battle. The Atlantic winter is when fish prices reach their peak, a time when the skippers and their crews could make a killing. But working in storms reaching force 10 it's also a time when they risk paying the ultimate price. With only the search and rescue squadrons of the Royal Navy to protect them, the fleets are in a fight to catch the most fish. A fight to stay out in the worst weather. And when disaster strikes, a fight to stay alive.

I filmed (One of 3 camera men) and edited a music video for an up and comming brighton indie rock band called 'Dr Razzu'. The track is called 'BN8 humdrum nowhere'.

From Dec 08-Feb 09 I was Logger for a BBC adventure documentary series called 'The Real Swiss Family Robinson'. The show is about English families that for a short period of time live it rough in exotic places around the globe. The show will be aired tonight on BBC1 and then for another 3 weeks until the 17th april.

"The Real Swiss Family Robinson will take families to far flung corners of the world, to beautiful places most of us can only dream of. Each week will follow a family as they leave their stresses and struggles in credit crunch Britain behind, and immerse themselves in a back to basics life building their own shelters, finding food, and re-evaluating their lives."

I read this story in the paper about Benjamin Barton who was contesting a fine for dropping a cigarette down a public drain. He would be taking the case to court and therefore risking an even larger fine. I thought this was an interesting story so I got in touch with him and made a short documentary on it.

I took this video on a camera phone as a favour for Thom. I thought I would include it in this blog as he later used it on his webpage and the video received over 2000 hits in a short space of time. This song was also later used on channel 4's comedy series 'the inbetweeners'.
